Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are needed to help prepare, package and deliver meals to our home bound seniors. These caring volunteers deliver not just a hot meal, but a much appreciated smile and friendly visit. If you are interested in volunteering for Meals on Wheels, please call 248.608.0281.
Assist members at the sports and aquatic reception desks*, coach a sport or help with one of the 5K Run and other various health related activities.
The art department is looking for instructors to share their talents to teach fine art and craft classes.
Share your passion, talent and knowledge to teach a class in a foreign language, computers, guitar, ukulele, drums and dance or give a presentation on your favorite subject. Lead a discussion group, assist as a table host, server, greeter and with other jobs for a variety of programs.
If you love to sing or dance, look out for auditions to share your talent in one of the musical or variety shows. For those that would rather be “behind the scenes” we are looking for volunteers to assist with photography, videography, or sound and lighting.
The OPC hosts several special events throughout the year. There are several opportunities to volunteer for these events with minimal time commitment. Opportunities include set-up, greeters, ticket takers, wait staff, and clean-up crew.
A variety of opportunities are available to help support the aging in place of the seniors in the area with leaf raking and other supportive services.
Our Welcome Center volunteers* play a large role at the OPC – they offer a smiling face to greet our members and visitors, provide tours of the facility and provide general information on all current events taking place at the OPC.
