Participation
OPC Leisure Travel is open to anyone 50 years and older. A nonresident of the three communities of Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township does not have to pay the annual OPC nonresident membership fee to travel. However, they will be charged an additional $10 fee for day trips.
Group Leaders
OPC will make every effort to assign a group leader for both contracted and in-house planned trips. However, the availability of a group leader may vary depending on the trip location and venue.
Transportation
The number travelers on a particular trip, and the location of the venue, will dictate whether a minibus or a motor coach will be used. OPC reserves the right to change the posted mode of transportation at any time.
Waiting List
For popular trips, additional tickets may sometimes be available if enough people join the waiting list. If a ticket becomes available by additional tickets or a cancellation occurs before the cancellation deadline, individuals on the waiting list will be contacted if a ticket becomes available.
Cancellation Deadline and Fee
A non-refundable $10 processing fee will be applied to all day trip cancellations made on or before the cancellation deadline. No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline. Overnight and Extended Travel trips cancellation policy/fees vary. Please purchase tickets by the cancellation deadline if possible. If there are low ticket sales on that date, the trip may be cancelled.
Transferability and Cancellations
If you purchased a ticket for a day trip and cannot attend after the cancellation deadline, you may sell or give your ticket to another 50+ person, as long as you contact the Leisure Travel Department with the personal information of the new traveler 48 hours prior to trip departure.
