Overview

Let OPC take you anywhere in Rochester, Rochester Hills or Oakland Township, to Oakland University, and to our newly expanded medical facility locations in Auburn Hills, Troy and Sterling Heights. Click here for listing. You may use our service for appointments, shopping, to visit friends, or attend activities at OPC.

The OPC Transportation Service is a door to door, shared ride service. Our vehicles are wheelchair lift equipped and our courteous, trained drivers will safely get you to your destination and back home again. A reservation is required no less than 4 days in advance (7-14 business days recommended). Exceptions may be made for medical/dental appointments based on availability.

Qualifications

Transportation is available for persons 55 years or older, disabled adults and veterans residing in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township. People under 55 may also qualify if they have a doctor’s statement and are unable to drive. Contact the Transportation Office at 248-652-4780 for information on special guidelines.

Fare Policy

$2.00 each way.  Riders can pay the driver with exact change or with a token. 

  • OPC Cashier Counter: using cash, check or credit card – $20 for 10 tokens
  • Drivers: using exact cash or check only for a packet of 10 tokens for $20
  • Mail a check to:  Cashiers, 650 Letica Dr., Rochester, MI 48307 (Memo line-include bus tokens/rider name).  Tokens will be mailed to you or delivered by a driver.

No rides will be given without payment:  Token, Cash, or Check

Require Assistance?

If you require a Caregiver / Aide, they are allowed to ride with you, (minimum 18 years of age) for a required fee $2.00 each way. A Caregiver / Aide is required if the rider has special needs that the driver cannot manage alone.
